We talk about what we learned in over five years of doing the show, reflect on what keeps us going and all the crazy stuff that has happened to us because of the podcast. We also tip our hat to all the fellow podcasters that we used to listen to and who got left behind for one reason or another.

Questions from the live show audience.

    Congratulationss on your 300th show!
I have been a listener from show 189. (I have listened to all the previous shows!)
I would have really liked to be there but I live in Australia!
It was great hearing about how you started and the “behind the scenes” insights!

I really enjoy the shows format. The candid banter, Dan’s Connery impressions, Fabs Famous Rants etc.

Mostly I enjoy hearing the truth about current events in the Linux and Open Source community. I listen to a few other “Linux” Podcasts but they dont give the same insights!
Thank you for your time and effort in doing the shows. Keep up the good work guys!

  2. Sebastian Audet says:

    Enjoyed the show.

I really enjoy the concept of Oggtober, especially as thats my B-day month.

Hopefully, I can raise enough dough to fly on over this year!

    Have another great 100!

  3. Lieven says:

Hi, I loved the show and have to say that Dan is very, very good when he has a live audience in front of him. That goes to show that he is a born performer :-)
Congratulations on your 300th episode, I loved it and it makes me curious about how your first shows went, I think I might go and listen to them.

  4. Rafael F. Compte says:

    Hi guys.
Cool show! Just a quick hello from Latin America.
    Just a couple of comments.
I loved the Stallman song. It’s actually a cover of a well known Cuban song called Guantanamera. You can listen to the original in YouTube I guess. He sings “soy preso Guantanamero”, which means “I’m a Guantanamo Bay prisoner”. So it’s not Mexican you know ;-)
I loved the music critique going on at the end. You should do it more often.

  5. fabsh says:

Yeah, I know. We were taking the piss. I know the original song. Not that I speak Spanish….. ;)
