That's not weird Dan, that's just some common sense mixed in with good old fashion individuality.
As for the security headache it's also why I try to avoid Sony products if I can help it. My first mp3 player was one of their and I had it back in the day when I less in the know, their software kindly offered to convert all of my music into a format which was compatible with the player and stupidly I agreed (even though my mum always told me to never accept DRM from large corporations). About 3 months later I upgraded my machine and because the hardware setup was different it decided that I was obviously trying to copy my music to another machine and refused to let me play any of my music, I lost it all. Here end's my tail of woe

yeah my bro had an early sony mp3 players, awful bit of kit. couldn't organise your music into folders seemed to randomly store it anywhere.
