Show Notes

In this episode, Fab reviews The Signal from Tölva and we talk about what’s coming to Warhammer 40K in the next weeks. We also talk about The Intercept completely fucking up and getting an NSA whistleblower outed.

Both Fab and Dave are getting into Warhammer 40K again and we’re quite excited about the #New40K. Sadly, Dave couldn’t make it to Warhammer Fest and now Fab himself has to buy Tom Walton the beer he promised him. In other Warhammer news, Dawn of War III is now out for Mac and Linux!

Fab has ridden down a lot of road on his motorbike this week and by request of some of you tells a few stories about that. Dave got some presents from listener Urban Koistinen, who he thanks profoundly.

We really love the new Alestorm album.

The Intercept really fucked over a whistleblower because neither her nor they knew about printer tracking dots.

What’s more funny is some hackers piloting their malware through comments on Britney Spears’ Instagram account.

In the main part of the show, Fab reviews The Signal from Tölva. A game that’s a bit S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but more chilled and a lot more beautiful. Fab likes it a lot.

Here’s a video of Fab playing the game. Just ignore the German voice, right?

Dave is sourcing questions for FOSS Talk Live. Do him a favour and submit some.

Unsurprisingly, we end the show by answering your questions.

Show Notes

Mike, Fab and Dave discuss the changes coming to Warhammer 40K with 8th Edition, review Dawn of War III and talk current events in the Elite Dangerous galaxy.

First of all, Fab and Dave discuss the new Ghost in the Shell movie – it’s been so long, Dave has already forgotten he’s seen it.

We then discuss with Mike the changes coming to Warhammer 40,000 with the Gathering Storm and 8th Edition. Will 40K get similar books to the battletomes in Age of Sigmar? What are they doing to the galaxy?

Fab reviews Dawn of War III, which he’s played for a bit.

In the second big part of the show, Mike and Fab discuss their love for Elite Dangerous and try to convert Dave away from EVE. Fab explains what the recent Salomé event was all about.

Who is Harry Potter and why is he such a dick? Mike explains how he was killed by him… twice. And also tells us other interesting tales from wilderness space.

Mike then drinks Tyrkisk Peber and reads funny Danish sentences to scare Dave off the show.

  • Rødgrød med fløde.
  • At plukke frugt med en brugt frugtplukker.
  • Fem flade flødeboller på et fladt flødebollefad.
  • Vestens vilde ville vide, hvad vestens hvide ville vide.

We end the show, as always, by answering your feedback.

Show Notes

This episode has it all: EVE Online, Stellaris, Dawn of War, politics and even a review of the Captain America movie.

Obama is gone, Isernhagen has peace once again. Fab took this picture of Air Force One as it flew by his flat:

Breaking news: Apparently Trump can’t be stopped now. In more positive news, Dawn of War III has been announced and we are feeling the hype.

Dave regales us with his latest adventures in EVE Online. He’s been building a citadel and has bought a Caracal. We also talk about the Rokh and the Jackdaw. After all the EVE love, Dave gives his impressions on Captain America: Civil War, which he found to be rather meh.

FOSS Talk Live is sold out but we want you to come anyway.

Fab talks about the Panama Papers and the TTIP leak and what he thinks is wrong with all of it. We also debate the curious case of Craig Wright and why his claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto are probably bullshit. Fab then goes completely fanboy about Stellaris, which he only found out about recently. You should read their developer diaries.
