This is a long one. Dave, Mike and Fab talk Warhammer 40K, Kill Team and also give a short review of The Bard’s Tale IV.

We start the show off with some housekeeping. Fab has recently backed two Kickstarter projects that you might find interesting: Encased, the RPG made by Char’s friend Slava and also Things From the Flood, a Simon Stålenhag RPG.

An Aarhus-sæt

Dave mentions the now-defunct BattleCon Kickstarter project.

Check out Dan’s new podcast: Tales of the Unattested.

In other news, Der Letzte Bulle is getting a movie and Hulkoff is releasing a new single. There’s also a new Battletech boxed game coming and Wargaming is opening a studio in Guildford.

Fab gives a quick review of The Bard’s Tale IV, which we kinda hoped has a multiplayer mode but it hasn’t. It does have Julie Fowlis, however.

We then get into the main meat of the show. Several hours of Warhammer talk, including Kill Team and Kill-Teams. Dave has been very busy building terrain for it and he explains it in scientific detail.

Dave has read many Gaunt’s Ghosts books and mentions how they strongly resemble Sharpe. Mike has finished Wolfsbane and tells us about it. We also discuss our #4Feldherren progress, or lack of it. Warhammer 40,000: Conquest – What evil is this???

Apropos of nothing: Dawn of Amber.

We close the show with your feedback.

We are back home and bring you the second part of our Sabaton Open Air review, where we talk about the bands from the last day, including Powerwolf and Sabaton.

We are back from our trip to Sweden and give an update what we’ve all been up to. Mike has toured Denmark and has visited Legoland in Billund. Fab has started playing Divinity: Original Sin II with the Danish boys, finished the story of Battletech, had a wonderful trip on a beautiful old ship and is still loving Stålenhag. His new favourite podcast is Wrestle Me. Dave has mostly been loving Sweden.

In the main segment of this episode, we finish our recap of Sabaton Open Air 2018, which we started on the previous episode. Bands reviewed:

We end the show with your feedback. And remember to check out @hwoutlaws.

The GNR theme tune is The Washington Post March by John Philip Sousa.

Babylon 5 is not coming to Europe, Kill Team doesn’t have many real kill teams in it, Simon Stålenhag is great and Fab reviews Surviving Mars.

Fab’s work life has been hell recently and Dave is stuck in startup crunch mode. But we nonetheless vow to get back to recording more regularly.

Babylon 5 may be coming to Amazon Video… not in Europe, though. Of course, it isn’t. Fuckers! We still want to do Babylon 5 Babble-On, though.

Fab has become a huge fan of Simon Stålenhag’s work. No wonder, the guy paints amazing scenes. Fab even wants to get a print to hang in his office. Meanwhile, Dave tries to make the French Tuck happening. He also loves this bike.

Dave discusses 40K things: The new Kill Team game, his Everlasting Wet Palette and the minis he bought from Anvil Industry and what he’s gonna do with them for Kill Team.

We then discuss some news. This includes the EU fining Google because of Android and Google’s cloud data transfer project. We also mention the World Cup in passing. Dave also wants to talk about the Tour de France for some reason.

To round out the show, Fab reviews Surviving Mars and we talk about your feedback. If you’d like to play Fortnite 🤮, tweet Dave.
