Show Notes

Mike’s back and brings a massive amount of Warhammer 40K topics to the table. Dave and Fab talk Star Trek: Discovery, The Witcher and how to keep drone batteries from exploding.

After the usual introductory bants, we discuss the latest the latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery and how Warhammer 40K it has become.

Fab’s been reading The Last Wish, the first book in the Witcher series and he’s started on the first game as well. There also seems to be a Netflix series in the cards.

Dave’s drone battery storage.

Meanwhile, Dave has bought a drone and is very worried the battery might explode.

The meat of the show is made up of all the Warhammer 40,000 related topics Mike brought along.

Mike’s Knights of the Crimson Grail

We talk about Mike’s Knights of the Crimson Grail as well as the books Old Earth by Nick Kyme and Black Legion by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Aaron has a blog that is well worth reading.

Black Library has a new submission window open at the moment. This might be our chance to get published by Games Workshop and we ponder that we might make this the next challenge for the Vier Feldherren. The BL Bolthole might be of use here.

Fab is overcome by a minor rant on Games Workshop’s kerning.

We also discuss Operation SOAP and the fact that Boris Becker is missing his trophies. Yes, several of them. Oh, Boris and his shenanigans.

At the end of the show, we discuss feedback received from you, our listeners. This includes more information on the weird Xbox CPU bug Dave mentioned and also wood fire ovens.

Show Notes

We’re back! Including Earl Grey martinis, mad barons and Star Trek talk. Strap in and enjoy the show.

We are back after a rather long hiatus. Fab has been on holiday all of October and is now convinced that Fiji is the nicest spot on the planet. Dave, who’s back from some time in the Lake District has to update him on everything that happened since, especially KRACK.

Fab’s been reading an excellent Stalin biography, which also includes mention of “the bloody white baron” Roman von Ungern-Sternberg.

After Schleichfahrt, Fab finished AquaNox and is now playing AquaNox 2. Also, since Heat Signature is now out, we will talk about it in depth in an upcoming episode.

In non-game-related news, Dave has seen The Orville and wasn’t impressed much. He prefers Star Trek: Discovery, which has progressed a lot since we last talked about it. Dave and Fab are still enjoying it a lot. Chief engineer Paul Stamets is named after this guy.

Twitter now allows 280 characters in posts. Bullshit!

We end the show with your feedback, which probably will be twice as long going forward. Thanks, Twitter.

Show Notes

We’re taking a month off but before we do, Fab and Dave bring you another episode packed with video games, Star Trek, Tomb Raider and mobile phone rants.

The number 47 is special.

Char’s game, Divinity: Original Sin 2, is out and has garnered some great reviews already. We take a first look.

“The game received universal acclaim, with many critics considering it to be one of the best role playing games of all time.”

Fab’s also been looking forward to Tom Francis’ new game Heat Signature.

We discuss Star Trek: Discovery. Will the first Star Trek series in over ten years live up to the hype? Fab wrote a preview for it for heise online. Fab’s also excited about the new Tomb Raider movie. She’s even got the DMM Rebel ice axe.

Phones are shit. Case in point: BlueBorne.

Dave’s been eyeing this Kickstarter for a fancy wet palette. And he tells us about Battlestar Galactica Deadlock.

We end the show with your feedback. You’ll have some time to submit some more of it, because we will be taking the month of October off. See you in November!

Show Notes

We discuss Star Trek: Discovery and talk about the hot new gaming sensation that is sweeping the land: Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

What the hell is going on with Star Trek: Discovery (STD)? It seems it is not looking good for the first Trek show in over ten years.

We get so frustrated by this shit show that we veer off into a discussion of the original series and DS 9.

Fab’s been playing and streaming a lot of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). He’s finally roped Dave into playing a few matches.

We talk about the game at length. Watch the recording of us playing it on stream to get the full picture.

After this, Dave discusses the new Space Marine releases from Games Workshop and his new found love for dead animal brushes. Buy new brushes, everyone!

As is customary by now, we end the show with your feedback including a weird dream featuring  Fab.

Show Notes

Joe, Mike, Fab and Dave embark on a epic journey to see what the new edition of Warhammer 40K has to offer. They also commit to do a lot of painting this year.

We got a full house this time around and we’re all fired up to talk about the 8th edition of Warhammer 40,000. But before we dive in, Fab recommends Kiefer Sutherland’s country album Down in a Hole. It’s on Spotify.

Star Trek: Discovery launches on 24 September. And the US Department of Defense bought uniforms for the Afghan National Army. It uses forest camouflage. I shit you not. The company that made it has its branding down, however.

As we get into the main part of the show, we talk about 8th Edition Warhammer 40K. Everyone has the rulebook… Well, everyone except Fab, since Games Workshop is shit at delivering things. But that doesn’t stop him nerding about it.

For some reason, Mike talks us all into committing to paint a shitload of 40K minis until December and update you regularly on it via the podcast. We call this project Die Geschichte der vier Feldherren (#4Feldherren). Joe whinges a lot, but he’ll probably win. Using his weird miniature holder. Stay tuned for our progress.

Before the show ends, Dave runs away again. Like the smurf coward he is. Mike, Fab and Joe know no fear and end the show with your feedback.
